As summer draws to a close and we move into the darker, colder months, we have new faces, classes and plenty of wins to celebrate.

Goal Setting:

We have 3 months left of 2026; it's a good time to start thinking about your goals- the ones you set for the year, the ones yet to hit and think more broadly about 2027 goals and beyond. There's still time to make progress on all of the above, mostly by showing up for yourself every day. Not through perfection, but just imperfectly and consistently. If you want to book in for a chat with me to talk about any of those goals & how what we do at Persevere supports those goals. I am happy to have that chat anytime.

New Members & New Classes

We continue to grow; we've gained several new members since the last blog post, so a big welcome to David, Connie, Martina, Magda & Ilaria. I'm genuinely incredibly proud that we have a 95% return rate for people who attend their first class and come back again. That is down to the brilliant community we've created and how friendly and welcoming you all are - please keep that up.

With such busy classes, that also means an expansion of classes

As of October 5th, we have 3 new classes on the timetable (officially)

  • Monday has gained a second WOD at 7.15 pm

  • Tuesday has gained our second strength class at 8 pm

  • Wednesday now has a Lunchtime class at 12 pm

These new classes give us more breathing room to expand and grow and still ensure every class we offer provides one-to-one coaching even in a group setting.

News and Congratulations

  • First off, congratulations to Frankie and her partner, David, on getting married - We look forward to seeing the pictures and wish you all the best on what is shaping up to be a big year for them and their growing family.

  • Congrats go to Mandy on completing her FIRST trail run of 25km.

  • A shout-out to Ali for coming back (slowly) from injury after taking some much-needed rest and still going for it hard.

More generally, I see wins every week in classes with weights going up, improved technique and growing confidence. Don't forget how far you've all come even in just a few weeks and months of showing up for yourself.

Rogue Invitational and Test week

19th -25th of October I will be volunteering at the Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen supporting the athletes. I will leave a couple of workouts in WodUp which you can book into at no charge. Long term, I will be looking at cover coaches in 2027 for when I need to take Annual Leave and even have a coach in mind, but for now you'll all have to bear with me that I sadly cannot be in two places at once, and please don't think I take for granted your support that allows me to do this.

Looking For A New Home

As you've likely heard by now, the Scot ART Building we operate from has been served notice by its owners that it has been sold, and as such we'll be looking for a new home. Rest assured, ESC (the charity the gym is operated by) is looking at using this as an opportunity for a bigger and better home to continue to grow in. We still have 4 months to find a new home, and when I have more information, I will share that with you. This isn't the end for Persevere, just the start of the next chapter. I am confident the new space will be worth the displacement and stress of moving. Whilst we have active enquiries, if you see or hear of any opportunities, do flag them up.
